A C182 most likely based at Old Buckenham, EGSV. Not many images of it, and none at Old Buck, but the last tracked flight (from Oxford) took it there late in the day. It has most sightings at Denham and Gloucestershire - flights to Gloucestershire go back to Old Buck late in the day as well. Seems reasonable to say this is the base.

Here's an image of it at Shoreham, one of my favorite day-trip landing spots.

A C182 based at Stoke Golding airfield. This is a non-ICAO place that in the "Bones" UK airfields list for FS is coded X3NN, and I believe there is an AFD for this in a small strips addon for FS9 (and later updated for FSX+) created by a group of people including Alan Trussell.

If you don't really want to install a myriad small airstrips just for this one aircraft, you could always base it either at Coventry (EGBE) or Leicester (EGBG) both of which are about the same distance from Stoke Golding. The real Stoke Golding airfield seems to have between 20 and 30 based aircraft, so its important not to assume that because the ICAO aren't interested, it's just a backwater.

I've discovered a better repaint of this aircraft painted by the much-missed Billy Rutherford over on Flightsim.com

This is definitely a better version than the one I made here.

A C182 registered to a couple in Kent, UK. It appears to be based at Cannes (LFMD).

There are very few images, but a lot of spotter reports tend to have this aircraft at Cannes.

I'm going to take this opportunity to thank Ray "Ancienterk" Blake for the many UK "personalized" AI planes he painted for FS9 models well back in the day. Seeing his efforts appear in my sim and helping with the sense that I was somewhere in particular, really made a difference to my use of FS9's AI system. I'd seen the point of airlines and noticed that the GA scene was not nearly as colorful (when there is usually far more variety in it), in terms of aircraft, paint schemes, and overall quirkiness. I think I owe my interest in doing this almost entirely to Ray Blake and, later, also to Billy Rutherford's GA paints as well as those by Ross Bremner that helped to keep GA things alive.

Charly's creation of this intriguing "adult coloring book" for AI liveries should have made a huge difference to making GA AI paints, and I'm amazed that only I and Charly seem to be putting much time into it. Once you are "up to speed" on how to operate this incredibly useful tool, liveries like the ones I've been making could be yours for just a few minutes of effort.

I dedicate all these paints to the spirit of Ray's original contribution that is part of the best tradition of freeware creation for Flight Simulator.
