C172 D-EBRO operated by Fliegerclub Mühldorf and based somewhat obviously at Mühldorf am Inn (EDMY).

C172 SP-MMI based at Warsaw Babice, a detailed version of that airport is available for free from Simmarket if you pick up the Drzewiecki Design Warsaw airport for FS9 (their other formerly payware airports are also available there for FS9).

No tracking available for it, but most images show it tied down there. Here's a picture without the tie-downs.

Another German 172, this time based at Augsburg (EDMA) in, obviously, Germany. This one gets around the region moderately well.

I always fancied painting this one, but recently it was stripped back to plain white (at least for now). This means I can "paint" it quite easily as no paint is involved except for the registration and the gold version of Germany's flag.

It is based at Egelsbach (EDFE) near Frankfurt, Germany.

This is what it looks like now...

...and this is what we're missing...

I might have a go at making that older one "manually".

Other GA / C172/T41-DM Mescalero Peruvian Air Force (x3)
« on: July 22, 2024, 10:44:19 AM »
Three repaints of Peruvian Air Force Mescalaero (Military 172s) based at SPLP (Las Palmas - Lima).

There was quite a large fleet of these in years gone by but there are only a few now receiving cockpit upgrades and a repaint into this bland grey colour scheme.

Three are imaged online at the moment, so I've limited the paints to just those three. If you want other numbers on there, the links will guide you to the repaint and you can just re-register them in there. If you do, please post the save link (after you've saved your changes) so that others may share in your work.

C172 OO-EVH that is definitely based at Brasschaat air base (EBBT), Belgium it flies often, but seldom ever goes out for longer than an hour, only occasionally to other airfields.

Other GA / C172 G-THIN (all black)

C172 G-THIN, based at Breighton (EGBR) and wearing no wheel spats.

Some sim users (FS9 for example) might have Breighton mis-coded as EG71 (or X4BN), or may not have it in the sim at all. An AFD would need to be created and coded unless you use an older one that won't have the ICAO code the airfield now has. Either way, some work will be needed to make this one sit at its correct base airfield.

Breighton is a small grass strip located along the southwestern edge of the former RAF airfield (which is probably the reason for the other codes used). It's roughly where the peri track would have been along that edge. The RAF airfield is built over (all hard surfaces have buildings on them or articulated trailers parked on them, although the airfield still looks like an airfield!

A fun project for someone that isn't me!
