I made a version of this way back in 2022, missing the Skylane text, with the German flag in yellow rather than gold, and without the drop-shadow registration. Well, all of that is fixed now that it is all available to use!

It seems to be based at Borkenberge, EDLB, but the images show it all over Germany and with no flight tracking it's not easy for a non-local to figure out the correct base. So, EDLB might still be wrong.

Here's a picture of it at Koblenz, where it might also be based!

C182RG based at Santa Cruz/El Trompillo - SLET

The fuselage template is present, but the tail design on this aircraft differs from the template, so I've added a simple red top to the tail that gives a rough impression of the overall look of the aircraft. If you don't want the tail tip color, click the link at the top of this post to get the drawing I did, then go to "Elements List" and delete the two elements that are block text, leaving the other two for the Bolivian flag. Click UPDATE and then SAVE, to make your own version with an all-white tail.

The colored glareshield is also not in the template and remains white.

The font for the club text cannot be accurately reproduced, and the logo (umbrella-type logo) on the tail is omitted

Edit: 18 Apr '24 - upper wing surface colored more closely to the outline to avoid coloring main gear legs.

This aircraft has new paint on an old frame. Previously it was quite tasteful.

I'm not able to add the logo using the template, but all the other bits are there. Blue and orange is quite enough.

It is based at Tannheim, EDMT.

Hi Marco -

Sounds like a texture corruption.

I have no control over the texture that is on the download link, it's the software on the page that created it - the one with the download link. It may have been corrupted on the way over to you (I suggest this because there have been over 400 visitors to this one, and you're the first person to report a problem with it, which suggests it is a download problem).

I would suggest that you try to download it again and see whether the texture arrives intact, and perhaps let me know whether that was the problem.

If the texture comes across badly again, you can always use the one I've attached here, which is just my download from that same link. If that texture works, it still points to a download corruption.

The quality and format of the texture you get is something controlled by Charly's clever use of graphics software through a web interface, and in all the ones I've installed, it has worked very well. But while I manipulate bits of the texture (coloring in the livery templates, placing elements, and sizing them), that's all the control I have over what comes out!

If there is a corruption in the source image, that would be for Charly to fix since it would be the functionality of the repaint process that was creating a problem.

Also, be aware that I also manipulate the DDS image when I download it, because I use FS9 and the web page won't let me specify that I want the texture as BMP. My conversions of all of these textures to BMP have gone fine, including this one. As I say, I reckon it is a download corruption.
