Repaint requests / Re: Some Belgian Cessna's
« Last post by mage on October 05, 2024, 09:04:25 AM »
Hi Ross! Nice to see you here!  8)

BTW, Ravenair to appear here shortly... just need to get a few of the club aircraft painted up. I remade the Partenavias I put online 15-20 years ago, now including a couple of slightly dodgy fake Observers.

I don't know which sim your using so it may not be any good but ALD is already painted. I did it years ago for 2004. As there's a 32bit texture it can be used in FSX. Here's the link:

Forum members' repaints / Piper PA-44 Seminole fleet for FFH Flight Training
« Last post by mage on September 28, 2024, 09:41:00 PM »
Attached are the three Piper PA-44 Seminole aircraft operated by FFH out of Stuttgart (EDDS), painted on the Todd Bolgrin model. It should be possible to convert Todd's model for use in FS9, however I will try to get these repaints onto the Pavel Toman Seminole fairly soon.

Their third aircraft, D-GZXA, used to operate for Lufthansa Flight Training.

Forum members' repaints / Grob 115C FFH Flight Training x2

The two Grob 115C aircraft operated by FFH Flight Training (HQ in Stuttgart). These two aircraft, D-ELZH and D-ELWT, are based at Augsburg (EDMA).

These repaints go on the MAIW Nick Black Grob 115. I've tried to demilitarise the pilots as far as I can - it's for their own good...

Also a preview of the Seminole, on the Todd Bolgrin model (or a conversion, if available, for FS9).

Please note that there will be an update to this texture. The roof has been identified as being yellow, not red (I got to see an image from a better angle and with the covers off). The gear legs are also red, and not yellow.

Also note that the base is Moose Jaw Municipal airport, not the air force base! The airport code is CJS4.

Forum members' repaints / Cessna 152 fleet for FFH Flight Training
« Last post by mage on September 25, 2024, 11:40:09 PM »
Here are the C152s operated by FFH, generally out of Stuttgart.

Some of the fleet of 7 has a variant of the typical FFH livery, blue lower fuselage and gold or silver stripes along the side, and a blue tail with the FFH logo and a German flag. There are 4 oddball liveries, three shown here.

A colourful Cessna Cardinal that is based at Moose Jaw, SK, Canada.

No plans as yet, but there are forthcoming plans for a variety of Canadian GA that I have painted up here on OCH, together with a few other paints found online in the usual places.

Paint removed as the revised version is now posted.

Forum members' repaints / Remaining Piper singles for FFH Flight Training
« Last post by mage on September 13, 2024, 01:58:22 PM »
Attached are the remaining Piper singles that I believe are operated by FFH Flight Training from Stuttgart and other airports in that area of Germany. In the absence of any solid information I have decided to base some of the fleet away from Stuttgart to places where they are more commonly photographed. This will ease problems at FS Stuttgart that would be created by a busy GA fleet operating from the same runway as the rest of the airport's traffic. It's easy for me to change. Aircraft now painted are in italics.

Development / Re: Possible C172 repaint template for new livery
« Last post by mage on September 09, 2024, 09:08:04 AM »
I might have mentioned that I would revise the first template, and I have. It is attached. G-BNYM seems to wear a one-off version of this pattern. The one attached here as a revision is far more common.

It normally comes in just two colours, with the bottom fuselage stripe and the top tail stripe being on the second colour.

There are also quite a few 172s with a third color. This sits between the primary colour's main part and the secondary colour, as on OH-CAM. Using my terminology on OH-CAM, the red is primary, the silver is secondary, and the black is the third colour. Normally there are two colours used, and the black on OH-CAM would be red on aircraft like those.
